About Hurst's Public Recreation

Hurst has 22 public parks within its boundaries. One notable park is the Wan-Ka-Kani Park located on the eastern city border. This park is named after the American Indian word for "outdoors" and boasts a unique wildlife bird sanctuary where many birds are feed and housed in bird homes and native forests. If you are looking for a public pool to cool off in, Hurst has two different locations to choose from. The more popular choice is the Chisholm Aquatics Center which has a traditional pool, a waterpark, waterfalls, and a lap pool for those wanting some good exercise. These parks and aquatic centers make Hurst a great place to have some refreshing relaxation.
